Which new artist of 2019 is worth listening to?

Today I want to talk about one of the new exciting artists in 2019 that is worth listening to.  So, influenced by my personal music test, is Koffee according to me. One of the things I have been impressed about is her mission, which is to maintain her Jamaican roots and to share them through her music. From the music videos, it is clear the intention is to show the reality of life in Jamaica. With her music, she wants to spread the values of her homeland and make it appreciated by everyone, especially by the young generations.

What is also impressive is her age, she is just 18 years old! With her young age, she was discovered by Busy Signal (reggae artist) and after that most of the important reggae stars noticed her talent, before she knew it she was on stage with various artists such as Cocoa Tea, Chronixx, and her idol Protoje.

What I like most about this little big girl is the reason why she is making music. She doesn’t reach for individual success, instead of a collective one. She wants to communicate with the people. In case she won’t transmit anything this is kind of failure, even if she has the apparent and material success. I will transcribe what she said and reported on her website.

“My personal success could be ten cars and a big house but that doesn’t influence many people other than myself and the people around me who that benefit from that. I want to be a positive movement and make a positive movement, at the same time. I want to bring vibes and positive change. I want to impact the world.”

The music business and success can be tough especially if you are weak. But I hope she won’t change and she will keep her values. Keep yourself tied to your roots, don’ t forget who you are and always remember where you belong!
